Lindsey took a few moments out of her week to talk with us about her current inspirations, design process, and favorite breakfast food.

Are you an early bird or a night owl?

Night owl, but I could sleep morning, noon, or night!  I'm a big fan of sleep haha.

Choice breakfast food?

Definitely an almond croissant.

Favorite color & why?

White. It is my favorite color. I love that it can mean anything, to me it represents a blank canvas.

Tell us about a past project or collaboration….

Over the past few years I’ve had the chance to work with a lot of very talented Los Angeles based creatives. My favorite recent collaboration was creating the costumes for a music video directed by Andrew Huang, who is currently the art director for Bjork.

Secret travel destination?

I love going to Palm Springs. There’s a magical bed and breakfast there called Korakia Pensione. It’s where my husband and I got married, and we have made many trips since.

Keystone fashion accessory in your life?

The brass bangle that my husband gave it to me as a “something new” to wear on my wedding day.  I’ve worn it every single day since.

Underrated or up-and-coming musician you love?

My husband’s band: Moors. They play electronic hip-hop music.

Precious memento from childhood?

The book “Goodnight Moon” by Margaret Wise Brown.

If you are ever stuck in a rut, how do you get the creative juices flowing again?

I’m a big advocate of sleep and its ability to solve problems. Also exercising. I feel like i do my best thinking when I can separate my mind from my body.  If it’s a deep rut, I go to an art museum to try and spark something by getting excited and motivated about the great work that other people are doing.

Before you leave us, what's one piece of advice you'd like to share with aspiring designers?

Never hesitate to get someone else's opinion or another set of eyes, but always trust your instincts!
