CCT SPOTLIGHT: NYC DESIGN WEEK
New York Design Week was a total blast this year. Our schedule was PACKED, from ICFF to NSS / SURTEX at the Javits Center, to the DDC Furniture opening party, to the Costume Institute at the MET. Oh and we also managed to squeak in a lunch rendezvous with Betsey Johnson at the famed upper east side cafe E.A.T. Betsey had the chicken soup and walked away with a signed copy of our Caroline Cecil Textiles swatch book.
For those of you who weren't able to join the fun this year, here's a recap of our faves.
Gorgeous credenzas, desks & low tables that will make any minimalist swoon.
These hip RISD grads make benches & seats that fuse American Windsor–style design with a contemporary color palette.
The Apparatus booth was abuzz with people flocking to the minimalist, incense-scented oasis they created the middle of the show. We highly encourage paying a visit to their beautiful site - click here.

We enjoyed meeting the artist behind the brand, George, who's vibrant wallpaper brand is on the rise.

2. National Stationery Show
We were pleased to see Garance Doré’s gorgeous illustrations on stationery and fine art prints, via Rifle Paper Co.
Easy Tiger found a creative way to standout from the crowd with their green van and cheeky artwork.
Perhaps the largest wall decals at the show!
Two Parisian girls (who traveled all the way from Paris for the show!) with charming personalities and artwork to match.
A sweet line of hand screen printed stationery.
3. In conclusion, NYC Design Week was full of inspiring products, brands, and people. After walking the shows we managed to head to the MET which was drawing swarms- many of which were heading downstairs to see the newly unveiled fashion history exhibit, China: Through the Looking Glass.
