Discover ADAC Event Recap!

This year Caroline Cecil Textiles attended Atlanta’s annual interior design event, Discover ADAC, where A-list interior design editors and designers from all over gathered to checkout new product launches, participate in the lectures, and mingle over cocktails. Our Atlanta based showroom, Bradley, invited us along with 8 other emerging artisan textile and wall-covering brands, to join in all the fun. Scroll down to see our recap of the events at Discover ADAC!

To kick-off the festivities, Atlanta based showroom Bradley held a “meet-the-designer” private lunch where designers did demos and presentations to showcase their process. The event took place inside a light filled, white washed corner room in the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center where attendees drank champagne and learned about new product launches. So happy that blog megastar
Waiting on Martha, and textile aficionados Cloth & Kind were in attendance along with so many other delightful interior designers!

For our demonstration, CCT setup a trend demo showing the initial concept and inspiration phase of how we develop our designs. We picked our top favorite pattern and color trends for 2016, and created large scale mood boards and color palettes for each concept. People loved learning about how we integrate with seasonal trends into our inspiration process, and it was so fun for us to share the early stages of how we develop our prints. The mini mood board giveaways with matching oversized Pantone chips were a total hit and we're looking forward to including them as freebies in future memo shipments (interior designers take note!). To snag a digital version of our mood boards, click here to check ‘em out on Pinterest!

Other designer's demos ranged from hand screening fabric, to printing on wallpaper, to presentations illustrating how interior designers have used their work in recent projects. Here are a few of our favorites:

Sharon of Krane Wallpaper demonstrated how she prints her wallpaper.

Amy of Paper Mills demonstrated how she prints her wallpaper.

Payton and Brian of wallpaper and textile brand, Flat Vernacular, spoke about the process behind some of their most intricate designs and installations.

Kyra and Rob of wallpaper and textile brand Twenty 2 gave a presentation about the harvesting and weaving process behind grasscloth, a material they use to make wall-coverings and shades.

Victoria of Victoria Larsen Textiles demonstrated hand screen printing onto textiles.

There were many more amazing presentations from Lindsey Cowles, Fayce Textiles, and Root Cellar Designs. After the presentations wrapped we participated in video interviews with Cloth & Kind, who were interested in learning about the influences and process behind our work. In the evening we all gathered at the newly polished Bradley showroom for a fun and festive cocktail party. It didn’t look this immaculate for long, with the wine and cocktails flowing and tons of people stopping by to see and be seen.

CCT re-setup our demo for the cocktail party, and we had so much fun meeting other designers, talking about the display, and sharing our textiles!

Before flying home the next day Caroline managed to squeeze in a video interview with the marketing team at the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center.
