CAROLINE CECIL TEXTILES LAUNCHES DRIFT, A NEW FABRIC COLLECTION INSPIRED BY THE INHERENT FLUIDITY AND ONENESS OF LIFE.

FEATURING FOUR NEW PRINTS IN RICH, EASY-TO-LAYER EARTH TONES, THE COLLECTION IS PRINTED IN AMERICA, AND ECO-FRIENDLY.

 

Phoenix, AZ – May 24, 2022 – Caroline Cecil Textiles expands their offering of hand-printed textiles to the trade with the announcement of their DRIFT fabric collection. Featuring a total of fifteen print/colorway combinations in a range of rich, easy-to-layer earth tones, DRIFT marks the unveiling of four new prints – BECK, RHYE, REED, and SHALE – all of which originated from Caroline’s India ink paintings. Eco-friendly from start to finish, this collection embraces the little imperfections of hand-made designs and is hand screen printed in America onto Certified Belgian linens. Inspired by the inherent fluidity and oneness of life, DRIFT reminds us that even in moments of stillness and quiet, we are, in fact, always in motion. Even in solitude, we are connected. That we are ever changing and enduring.

 

 

 

 

“Over the past two years, the meaning of our homes has changed. My goal was to create a collection that has a calming effect where each print could serve as a visual reminder that even though in life there are moments when we feel still that we are always evolving and moving. ” says Caroline Cecil.

 

 

 

“Throughout the design process, I spent a lot of time contemplating how most of my artwork is inspired by an emotional state rather than a place or an object. The creative process for me is calming and centering, and that experience lives on after I finish painting whenever I see the piece again. I wanted to create a collection that would provide that same experience in other people’s homes and the result is DRIFT.”
