Meet the Caroline Cecil Textiles HQ Team

Meet the Caroline Cecil Textiles HQ Team

At Caroline Cecil Textiles, we take pride in being part of the small business community. When you purchase our hand-printed fabrics, you're not only supporting our growth so that we can continue to expand our product line, you are also supporting many other small businesses along the way. The mill that harvests and weaves our linens, the artisans who print our fabrics by hand, the sewers that make our samples. Today on the blog I'm excited to introduce the CCT HQ team. Over the years, we've gotten really good at working together, supporting each other's efforts, and being sure to laugh along the way. If you've ordered samples or yardages or rolls from us, you may have already connected with one or all of us.

Caroline Cecil, Founder & Design Director

Hi, I'm Caroline! As the Founder and CEO of CCT, my days are busy. From overseeing the team to designing new collections to planning and forecasting sales, I make sure to take regular breaks for water and yoga to help de-stress and stay centered. Prior to CCT, I got my degree in textile design and worked for a few different companies to learn the ins and outs of design, textiles, marketing, e-commerce and small business. I'm grateful for my background in design and business as it's helped me be a better designer, business owner, and role model for my team.

In my spare time, I LOVE hanging out with our 7-month-old son, Croi, cuddling with our puffy Pomeranian, painting, taking in-home bar classes, and ...when it's not 1,0000 degrees outside here in the desert, drinking a nice glass of wine on the veranda with my husband. As a proud homeowner, I've recently taken up rose gardening so you'll probably see me sharing more about that this winter when it’s rose planting season here in Arizona.

Fun Fact: Early on in my career I worked for a milliner and vintage clothing collector in New York City where we provided hats and accessories to all the major fashion magazines, and stylists to celebrities like Johnny Depp. At one point I had to hand deliver a hat to the accessories editor of Vogue for a Nicole Kidman cover shoot! Not a SINGLE FEATHER could be out of place!

Brenna Ruhl, Operations Manager

As the Operations Manager at CCT, Brenna keeps the team organized and on schedule. After graduating from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor’s degree in textile management, she made her way west to explore new opportunities in the desert. She is passionate about creating strong work relationships with designers, manufacturing partners, and the small team here at CCT. If you’ve ever inquired about our fabric and wallpaper, chances are you've been charmed by her North Carolina accent and infectious personality!

Now an Arizonian, she loves adventuring around the West Coast with her boyfriend Bryce and their new puppy, Charlie. When she isn’t working with the Caroline Cecil Textiles team, you can find her researching new designs for her home remodel, drinking craft beers, and reading outside.

Fun Fact: Brenna was born into a military family and traveled the world while she was young. She was raised in North Carolina where she learned to ride four wheelers, drive a boat, and water ski before she was 10. In order to combat her fear of flying, Brenna jumped in the open cockpit of a yellow biplane and did aerobatic maneuvers such as a hammerhead and barrel rolls (with a professional pilot of course).

Abby Meyer, Operations Intern

As the Ops Intern at CCT, Abby can be found organizing the sample library, helping pack orders, and chatting about her interior design coursework. As a TOTAL overachiever she is currently a Junior at Northern Arizona University studying Interior Design with a minor in Business - and - a certificate in Interior Design Event Planning Management! Busy lady. Due to COVID-19 she is currently living in her hometown of Chandler, Arizona while completing all courses on-line as a full-time student and working for CCT. In Abby’s spare time she loves to travel and experience new places, spend time with family and friends, craft, and cook. And, ahem, she has an Etsy business on the side. Her favorite part about working for CCT is being part of a small close-knit team where she can gain firsthand experience with so many parts of the company.

Fun Fact: Abby played competitive volleyball for 12 years! During that time, she traveled to 11 different states to play in club tournaments and her team was Top 5 in the nation. In her Junior year of high school, they won the State Championship.
